SARCAN Summer 2015 Recap Thursday, August 27th, 2015
  • Posted By: Admin | Comments: No comment

As the summer of 2015 draws to a close (say it ain't so!) we thought we'd have a look back at some of the experiences we've shared over the past few months at SARCAN...

We kicked off the summer in the same way we always do - by making the depots sparkle! Our employees take pride in their depots and it shows. We love receiving and sharing "spring cleaning" photos like these!

Next up, in May we held our annual Supervisor Workshop events in Saskatoon and Regina. The workshops are attended by all 71 depot Supervisors. This year, the workshop was a two-day event and was themed "At the Movies" -- Supervisors and presenters were encouraged to dress as their favourite movie characters. There were some amazing costumes and great participation from our staff! Supervisor Workshop was also where we handed out the annual Customer Service Awards. For a full list of winners, follow this link.

SARCAN kept busy with renovation and construction projects this summer. Our Indian Head staff will be moving into their brand new depot very soon! Renovations to our Regina processing plant are also nearing completion. We can't wait to see the finished spaces!

We also saw some trying times this summer, as many of our staff members in the northern part of the province were directly impacted by wildfires. It was a very difficult situation, but we are very proud of our employees for the resilience they showed. For more on the wildfires, check out this blog post from early July.

As you've likely noticed, over the past couple of months we have flooded our Facebook and Twitter pages with photos of our staff posing with Saskatchewan Roughrider, Rob Bagg. As a part of EPRA's "Take Back to Touchdown" contest, each depot has been equipped with a Rob Bagg cardboard cut out. Even though the Riders remain winless, our staff and customers remain dedicated fans! Here's a link to our blog with a complete rundown of staff Rider pictures.

And that's a wrap! We're looking forward to what the fall has in store. Thank you, as always, to our amazing staff across the province, and to our incredible customers for a great summer. See you in the depots!
